About

20150808_025540652_iOSI have been drawn into the field of mathematics education progressively through my life. The more I teach, the more I appreciate the art. I currently teach mathematics in the Upgrading and University Preparation Department at the University of the Fraser Valley where I enjoy helping adults learn about mathematics. My master’s thesis, Experiencing a Flipped Mathematics Class, provided me with an opportunity to explore student autonomy in the context of a flipped classroom. This research experience was so reifying for me as a teacher, that it inspired me to pursue further research opportunities within the Mathematics Education PhD program at Simon Fraser University.

You can find more of my scholarly work on my ResearchGate Profile.
